When your face is out there
A friend sent a screenshot
They saw a profile with your photos and a name that isn’t yours.
Strangers message you
People ask why you contacted them. You never did.
A routine check
You post publicly and want to know where your photos end up.
If someone is using your pictures
It’s unsettling, and it isn’t your fault. Photos shared publicly can be copied in seconds, and there are clear steps you can take.
How do I know if someone is using my photos?
- Friends or strangers say they’ve been talking to you.
- You get friend requests from people you’ve never met.
- A profile shows your face with a different name or job.
- Messages arrive about money, gifts or investments you never mentioned.
- Someone asks why your “other account” blocked them.
How do I search for myself properly?
- Pick a clear, front-facing photo where you’re alone.
- Run a second search with a different photo, such as an older one.
- Include photos that are public on your own social accounts, since those are the ones most often copied.
- Open each match and compare the name, bio and photos with what you know is yours.
What do I do if I find one?
- Screenshot the profile, the URL and any messages before reporting.
- Use the platform’s report option for impersonation or fake accounts.
- Tell friends and followers so they ignore messages from it.
- If the account is running a scam, report it at reportfraud.ftc.gov or ic3.gov.
What if people it scammed contact me?
Be kind, and tell them it isn’t you. Share your screenshots, point them to the platform’s report tool, and suggest they contact their bank and the FTC if they sent money.

Questions
Should I search with more than one photo?
Yes. Different photos can surface different matches, so try two or three clear shots of yourself.
Can you take the fake account down?
No. You’ll need to report it to the platform, using the links we show you and your screenshots.
Is it okay to search my own face?
Yes. Checking your own photos is one of the intended uses, and you can search as often as you like.
How does it work?
You upload a photo, and we search publicly available web pages for the same face. Each search is paid up front and shows every match with its link, its score and the site it’s on. If it finds no matches, you get your money back automatically.
What does it cost?
It’s $4.99 per search, 3 searches for $9.99, or 10 for $19.99. One-time payments, no subscription. If a search finds no matches, we refund what it cost, automatically. If it can’t run (no clear face), the search goes back on your account.
My face shows up. Can I remove it?
We don’t store or index faces, so we can’t remove one ourselves. Matches come from public web pages and a third-party provider. Our Privacy page explains how to get a face removed at the source.
Do you store my photo?
Your full photo never leaves your device: only a crop around the face is sent, securely, to our search partner. We keep that crop with your private results so you can see which face was searched, and delete both after 48 hours.
