When image search falls short
Lens found no one
You got shopping links and look-alikes, but no pages with the person.
Only one photo
You have a single picture and want to see where else they appear.
Cropped or edited
The image is a screenshot, so exact-copy search comes up empty.
Image search and face search, explained
Google Lens and TinEye are good tools. They are built for a different job than finding a person.
Why didn’t reverse image search find the person?
Regular reverse image search looks for the same image file: copies, crops and resizes of that exact picture. If the person appears in a different photo, it has nothing to match. A face search compares the face itself across many different photos, so it can surface pages where that person appears in a completely different picture. Each result shows a link and a similarity score.
When should I use which?
- Image search: find the source of a meme, product, artwork or news photo.
- Image search: see whether a picture has been used elsewhere.
- Face search: find other photos of the same face on public pages.
- Face search: check whether a profile photo belongs to someone else.
- Use both when you can. They answer different questions.
How do I pick a good photo for a face search?
- Choose a clear, front-facing photo with the whole face visible.
- Crop to one person. Avoid group shots.
- Skip filters, sunglasses, masks and heavy edits.
- Use a recent, well-lit image. Avoid tiny or blurry screenshots.
- Try a second photo if the first one finds nothing. A different angle or lighting can change the result.
What will a face search not find?
It only covers public web pages. It can’t search private accounts, direct messages or dating apps like Tinder or Hinge. A match is also a similar face, not a confirmed identity, so verify before you act.

Questions
Is this better than Google Lens?
It does a different job. Lens is great at finding copies and products, and we focus on finding a face across different photos.
Can I find a person by photo for free?
Google Lens, Bing and TinEye are free but look for the same picture, not the face. A face search here costs a one-time $4.99, shows every match with its link, and refunds you if nothing is found.
Can I use a screenshot?
Yes, if the face is large and clear. Crop out other people and avoid blurry or filtered screenshots.
Can I search a child’s photo?
No. Searching minors is not allowed. You must be 18 or older to use socialfinder.
How does it work?
You upload a photo, and we search publicly available web pages for the same face. Each search is paid up front and shows every match with its link, its score and the site it’s on. If it finds no matches, you get your money back automatically.
What does it cost?
It’s $4.99 per search, 3 searches for $9.99, or 10 for $19.99. One-time payments, no subscription. If a search finds no matches, we refund what it cost, automatically. If it can’t run (no clear face), the search goes back on your account.
How accurate are the results?
Each match shows a similarity score. A high score means a very similar face, not a confirmed identity, so always verify before you act.
Do you store my photo?
Your full photo never leaves your device: only a crop around the face is sent, securely, to our search partner. We keep that crop with your private results so you can see which face was searched, and delete both after 48 hours.
