Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use socialfinder.app (“socialfinder”, “we”). By uploading a photo or buying a search you agree to them. If you don’t, please don’t use the service.
What socialfinder does
You upload a photo and socialfinder searches publicly available web pages for similar faces, then ranks, filters and presents the matches with their sources. We don’t build profiles of people.
Who may use it
You must be at least 18. You may only upload photos of adults, and only for lawful purposes such as checking that someone is who they say they are (a dating match, a seller, a new contact). See Misuse for what is not allowed.
Results are not proof
A match is a similar face, not a confirmed identity. Results can be wrong or out of date, and the pages they link to belong to third parties. Verify before you act, and never rely on a result alone for a decision that affects someone’s safety, job, housing or reputation. Results are provided “as is”.
Payments
The first preview is free. Each full search costs one search credit, bought as a one-time payment through Stripe. There are no subscriptions. If a paid search finds no matches or no usable face, the credit is returned to your account. Otherwise, because results are delivered immediately, payments are non-refundable except where the law requires it.
Your data and your photo
Your full photo never leaves your device, and we don’t create or keep face templates. The face crop you searched and your results are available at a private link for 48 hours and are then deleted. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Third-party content
Matches link to pages run by other people. We don’t host, control or endorse that content, and we can’t remove it from the original sites. You’re responsible for how you use what you find.
Acceptable use and suspension
We may refuse service, block access or cancel unused credits if we believe you’re breaking these terms or the law, including by misusing the service.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, socialfinder is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything arising from how you use results. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under law that can’t be waived.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version, and continued use means you accept it.
