Misuse and Reporting
Last updated October 11, 2026
socialfinder exists to check that someone is who they say they are. It must never be used to hurt anyone.
Not allowed
- Stalking, harassing, threatening, intimidating or tracking anyone.
- Doxxing, or finding where someone lives or works so you can show up uninvited.
- Searching for a minor, or for anyone who hasn’t been, or can’t be, asked.
- Blackmail, extortion, discrimination or retaliation.
- Identifying strangers, such as someone you photographed in public.
- Anything illegal where you live or where the person lives.
We may block accounts, cancel credits and cooperate with law enforcement when we see misuse.
If you’re worried for your safety
If you think someone is using a search against you, contact local emergency services first. Then tell us below and we’ll act on it.
Report misuse
Email contact@socialfinder.app with what happened and, if you have it, the link to the result page or the email address involved. We read every report.
Having your face show up
We don’t store or index faces, so we can’t delete a face from results. See how to get a face removed at the source.
