Trust & Safety
Safety on SocialFinder
SocialFinder is a public directory of social profiles. We prioritize safety, authenticity, and respectful discovery so people can publish public handles without the platform drifting into spam, impersonation, or explicit content.

What SocialFinder is
SocialFinder is a public discovery platform for social identities. It is not a dating app, messaging app, or adult platform.
Profiles are designed to help people share public usernames, interests, and intent in a clear, searchable format. Public profile content may be visible to anyone on the web.
What is allowed
- Public usernames, handles, and profile links for accounts you own or control.
- Non-explicit profile photos, bios, interests, and discovery tags.
- Intent signals such as friends, dating, networking, community, or creators when presented respectfully.
- Links to external social platforms and creator profiles that comply with our rules.
What is not allowed
- Nudity, pornographic material, explicit sexual content, or graphic sexual descriptions.
- Escorting, prostitution, commercial sexual services, or content primarily intended to solicit them.
- Any content involving minors or content that sexualizes young-looking people. We have zero tolerance here.
- Harassment, threats, hate, abuse, stalking, or unwanted sexual behavior.
- Impersonation, deceptive profiles, fake verification claims, or handle farming.
- Spam, scams, malware, phishing, or attempts to redirect users into unsafe experiences.
Moderation approach
We use a mix of automated checks and human review to keep the directory safe and usable.
- Automated review may scan profile text, links, and uploaded images for safety risks, spam, or explicit content.
- Manual review may be used for reported profiles, edge cases, or policy-sensitive categories.
- We may hide, limit, remove, or ban profiles that appear unsafe, deceptive, or off-brand for the platform.
- We may use trust signals such as account history, completeness, or profile consistency to reduce abuse.
Reporting and response
If a profile feels unsafe, misleading, or inappropriate, please report it using the in-product report flow when available or email contact@socialfinder.app.
- Include the profile URL and the reason for your report.
- Common report categories include explicit content, minors, impersonation, harassment, and spam.
- We review urgent safety issues as quickly as possible and may remove content before a full investigation is complete.
Safety tips
- Only publish information you are comfortable making public and discoverable.
- Avoid putting personal contact details, home addresses, or private schedules in your bio.
- Use each external platform's privacy and blocking tools if someone contacts you in a way that feels unsafe.
- If something feels off, report it early. Fast reporting helps us keep the directory clean.
